There was a big dead tree down at the Fire Tower trail head , right as you head up the staircase at the beginning. It's probably cut by now, after notifying the park people. |

Great weather, a beautiful fall like day. The Fire Tower will be closed starting today. We ended up being the last people allowed to go up before the trail was being blocked off. |
