Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Gate off Rte 12 was not locked but closed. No one had gone through today. Normally unlocked for hunting season. Construction project going on so one may be able to park above just I would check with workers first.

Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes: Slick boards on one crossing on Ridge Tr.

Trail Maintenance Notes: New blowdown on road portion; Catamount Tr. folks will probably remove.

Lost and Found: Winter hat on sign near start of Fire Tower Tr.; been there for a while. 
 
Comments
Comments: Brought rock spikes but never needed. Few minor slips. Maybe 2-3" snow up higher. I'll avoid Ridge Tr. till it gets colder as it was quite muddy. Snack and drink at Stella's Bench. About 25 hikers out.
