I did the up-and-back to the summit of Mt. Abe from Lincoln Gap. An awesome hike on a near-perfect day, with great panoramic views from the summit. Conditions at the summit were warmer than usual, with only a light breeze. There was only minimal mud along the trail, with some standing/running water in the trail on the summit stretch above Battell Shelter. A shout out to thru-hiker Diesel, and to the couple with the poodle mix named Maddie. |
