Temps in the mid 20's heavy overcast. Sunset ridge was a well packed path. Bare boots up to a little after cantilever rock. In the clouds and snow flurries once I broke out above tree line. The hike up sunset ridge was smooth with decent wind, bony with some drifts. Quick stop at the summit then continued on the long trail south toward the nose and halfway house trail. Much more snow cover and drifts along the ridge, found halfway house and descended quickly in much deeper untouched snow. Easy trip back down to the winter lot, still overcast and flurries. Only saw a group of four backcountry skiers as I was heading out.
