| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We were the only ones at the parking lot. The road to reach the parking is in horrible condition, tons and tons of potholes and very muddy. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Part of the trail was literally hiking up a stream but the flow wasn’t too heavy. There were 3 spots where crossing a streams with heavier flow was necessary but there were enough rocks to make it across with dry feet. That said, this could easily change with more rain and snow melt. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two blowdowns but nothing incontournable. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Hiked with a 3 yr old shepherd/lab mix. She had difficulty at a couple icy patches but overall fine. |

| Comments: |
We did this trail entirely bareboot but probably could have used the help of micro spikes. Many icy patches on the second half of the trail and very narrow monorail on a steep slant near the summit. A lot of tree grabbing was necessary to stay upright. |
