Comments
Comments: We ascended the Burrow's Trail and descended via the Long Trail and Forest City Trail. Burrow's Trail was in relatively good shape-mix of ice and snow but doable with spikes. The Long Trail from the summit to the junction with the Forest City Trail has not been as well traveled recently. Between bare rocks and deep snow drifts it made a challenging descent with many postholes. Snowshoes would be good in some spots but the variability in conditions would require taking them on and off several times. The Forest City Trail had much less snow and was fine with spikes but very wet and muddy with the recent snowmelt.
