The weathersfield trail was complete ice. We all had our microspikes on, but had a hard time even with them on. Once we reached the stairs (before the large waterfall) we could see trail & stairs were just getting worse and more dangerous. We decided to turn around. There was another group that started out before us that waited for us at the stairs. They were wondering what we were going to do. I said no way.
Both groups turned around. We met a couple coming up the trail just at the first watering hole having trouble. They decided to turn around too.
Better to wait until all this ice is gone.
