Comments
Comments: Trail was good from parking lot to the lodge. The path people take loses and regains the long trail throughout the hike, but overall, follows the white blazes.

We microspiked to Taft Lodge, the group in front of us too, but you could argue that some areas needed snowshoes (some areas with patchy postholes). I would say 90% of trail didn't need snowshoes and if you stayed in center you could make it work (some would say that means we should have worn snowshoes, but we didnt).

Above Taft lodge had 6" fresh snow and drifts that were about 12" deep at points.

Followed trail above Taft (maze-like) to base of the chin after junction with Adam's Apple. Bad visibility and squall weathers alerts made us turn back. (SO CLOSE, UGH).

Group in front of us switched to crampons for the final push, we only had microspikes and decided to call it quits. Very icy. Could you do it in snowshoes/microspikes? Probably. Should you? It's hard to say. Identical day with sunshine instead of low visibility, we might have tried, but you have to assess your own risk/ability.

Saw a total of 6 people, which surprised us for a Saturday.
