I parked in the winter parking area, but some people drove all the way up and parked near the ranger's cabin (The gate was open).
I've seen too many cars get stuck going up past the winter parking, I didnt mind the extra mile both ways. |

Nice packed trail with fresh powder, some icy spots on Laura Cowles but a breeze going up generally speaking. Sunset was fine to, the snow not too deep. |
