Comments
Comments: A beautiful day to piece together this loop over Ascutney. I hadn't been here in several years and this was my first time on Weathersfield, which is a neat trail with several interesting natural features.

Conditions were dry overall although ice is starting to take hold higher up. No need for traction today though. I did take a small slip on a patch of black ice on the way down. I visited the high point where the radio towers are and popped up to the observation tower, but didn't stay too long as the wind was making it quite cold. Excellent crystal clear views from the all the outlooks; Mt. Washington was clearly seen with fresh snow. Descending was slow with intentional stepping as the leaves are hiding rocks.
