Some of the string to mark the alpine plant zones on Abraham was down. It was still obvious what areas were to be avoided. Some minor encroachment by plants on the Jerusalem trail. |

| Bugs: |
They were only noticeable during a break at the top of the ski area on Ellen. Black fly season is coming to an end. In two weeks they'll be completely gone, except perhaps further North or at higher elevations. |

| Comments: |
Very pleasant hike on the well-maintained Long trail. Saw about 20 other day-hikers and four backpackers. The Long trail was almost all dry with a few patches of avoidable mud. A few minor wet areas on the Jerusalem trail. |
