Trail Maintenance Notes: A buddy and I clipped and sawed the lower five miles two weeks ago. I finished the upper three miles Saturday. No blowdowns or duck-unders left. Blazes good by Wilderness standards.

Bugs: Black flies just starting above 2,500' 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Sleep Pod cheap sleeping bag in a charming light green. 5# and $40. A pain to pack out, but the grands might like it.

Comments: While the West Ridge can be dry in summer there is water trickling into the beaver pond 2.5 miles west of Goddard Shelter, then a seasonal spring on the south side of the trail 600' west of the old logging road which is west of the beaver ponds.
