Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Either bridged or simply rock stepped even with todays higher levels
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 3-5 blowdowns which will need to be removed this spring/summer. I'll talk to Alex and Wally O about a stretch of Ridge Tr. which is a running stream; Can't envision waterbars myself so possibly reroute. They know trail work much more than I; hopefully this will be on agenda this summer.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Usually many out on weekends; leash rule during open season but rarely followed. Lots of dog crap evident from irresponsible owners over the winter which was covered back over with snow today.
Bugs
Bugs: None today but coming out over the weekend.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a zero day (no hikers) rare event lately.

Comments
Comments: Bare boots until steep climb to tower; then micros until they started balling up and back to bare boots. Rough trail 3/4's of a mile either side of tower due to warm weather postholing. Have carried shoes lately but don't see them being beneficial for easier hiking and no use trying to flatten trail out. Trail is what it is and will only smooth out with snow melt now. Was a nice and smooth loop most of the winter to be enjoyed. Anticipating trail closure any day now for mud season. Bypass used in tower section; ice floe under fresh 3-5 inches. Winter like day but perfect hiking temps.
