Parking/Access Road Notes: Room for three or cars in the plowed road where IP Road meets Stratton-Arlington Rd. Do your legs and the lower elevations of the trail a favor and park here, then you won't have to drive the muddy dirt portion of Stratton-Arlington Rd.

Water Crossing Notes: Fine on leg southwest of summit. Northwest of summit your snowshoes will get wet on stream crossings.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Blazes were fainter northwest of the summit, as some of the adopters stayed away from VT last spring.

Comments: Snowshoes from car to summit to IP Road. Mine were the only tracks yestermorn, but the LT south of IP Road was a postholed mess in the afternoon. Did that many people forget their snowshoes, or are more hikers out hoping in vain for firm snow?
