Comments
Comments: Very pretty day, with back to moderate winter temps. The trail was a bit of a mess though. Minefield of postholes, most frozen, and a very narrow firm monorail trail. There is still a lot of snow out there! I am not a snowshoe nazi, but if you are sinking in up to your knees repeatedly, wouldn't it help to wear snowshoes? Today's hikers would have had an easier time if those hiking on the warm days had thought of this.
I will say the frozen postholes were slightly helpful as footholds around the icy sections near the top!

Great views, could see the Presis and the Franconia Ridge in NH and of course Mansfield.
