| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This section of LT has those nailed-on 2x6†paint blazes. They are deteriorating—breaking, rotting, & fading. It puzzles me how these are better than just painting blazes on a tree since they don’t last as long & two nails are hammered into the tree. What am I missing here? |

| Lost and Found: |
Found a Yukon Charlie snowshoe at junction of LT and ski trail. Packed it out and left it at Atlas Shelter which is just north of, and visible from, Jay Pass/Rt. 242. |

| Comments: |
Entire route was heavily snowshoed, skied, and barebooted (boo). Snowshoes or skis are the way to go. Route to Big Jay was exceptionally gorgeous and straight forward this day. Lots of snow in the Jay Cloud. :) Nice to visit this one again after 24 years.
Posted this mainly for the lost & found item. |
