| Comments: |
Light traction used from car to fire tower and then snowshoes until end. Fire Tower Tr. and roads fairly well packed. Bypass used in section up to tower. Ridge Tr. needs much more snowshoe traffic which unfortunately it did not get today. Lots of knee twists coming down on a rough trail. Broke a short section of Ridge Tr. where it is understandably bypassed and I was going knee deep with snowshoes so yes there is lots of snow. Lots of snow on branches so a lot of ducking and weaving to avoid getting dumped on. Nice weather, marginal views. |
