Comments
Comments: The Jerusalem trail was in very good shape almost to the junction of the LT. There was water running on the trail for the last quarter mile but no ice to speak of. Once on the ridge, things got more interesting! :) There were plenty of dry places, but there was lots of melting snow. We never needed to put our spikes on, but there were lots of opportunities to follow the GMC's request to 'walk right through the mud.' And we did! Major post holes and mud were avoidable for the most part with a little careful footing over rocks and roots in the middle of the trail. As the week goes on and temps continue to stay warm, I imagine the trail will get even more wet and muddy.

Good, waterproof boots made crossing the ridge much more enjoyable! The ski trail at the ski lift was bare, but the actual summit was still very snow-covered. The views were spectacular from the ski trail chair lift, and we spent well over an hour taking in the windless, warm, and bug-free summit; we also had the place to ourselves.
