Comments
Comments: Nice packed trails with some light ice is places warranting microspikes on Friday. After raining all night it turned into the soft, rotten spring snow that results in postholing; there was decent ice heading up the LT from Wind Gap, turned around at top viewpoint on ridge due to the combo of wet conditions/gear and high winds. Used this section to practice some ice axe skills. Dean Tr is in very rough shape down to Hump Brook Tentsite, Monroe Tr is in good shape below the junction w/minor ice and patches of wet trail.
