Made a nice loop ascending the ski trail access road towards Castlerock, over to Ellen and back, then over to Abe and back to Lincoln Peak. Descended the access road on Lincoln Peak. Ski trails were generally dry with some minor mud where the seeps and drainages are. The Long Trail was mostly muddy with patches of dry trail. It wouldn't be Vermont without the mud. Great views today especially from Abe. Clouds were building throughout the afternoon but it didn't rain at all. This finishes off my VT 4000 footers, on to Maine! |
