Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bridges over the big crossings, small streams along the way made for good doggo pit stops
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Good condition, no issues
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Very easy and gentle grades for the first couple miles with places to stop and get a drink along the way, last .2 miles was a little tricky for larger dog but if you could lift your pup up a couple big steps you should be fine. Going down can be tricky if a lot of people were coming up, but we timed it just right.
Bugs
Bugs: Some light spots of flies but the winds kept them away for most of the day.

Comments
Comments: This was a great way to kick off my first 4k in VT. Day was breezy and sunny and dog owners should beware of the fat porcupine that is around the tra ill la. Our pup smelled him right away and if he was of flesh would have been disastrous. We saw him about 20 feet off the trail waddling away through light brush. Other than that it was a perfect quiet day in the sun and wind.
