Saw two; both looked happy and under good control. There is some ice under the snow near the summit which is likely to become more of an issue with the recent rain, may get more tricky |

I saw one black fleece hanging off a tree on the way up, but it was gone when I was heading down. |

Nice little hike. I waited to start until late morning in the hopes it would clear. No such luck. Summit was socked in and windy, but still cool. some mud/leaves at the start along with patches of snow; up higher, plenty of snow; spring snow with icy under layer but pretty firm decent footing still. Some sticky and slippery sections on the way down. Cliff areas were still filled in with lots of snow. The steep last section before the summit was quite icy under the newer snow. I managed with microspikes, but after the rain today, something sharper may be better. |
