Comments
Comments: Chateauguay road had snowmobile packed snow up to the a.t. crossing. we followed the trail south then left it and headed up the north ridge of Chateauguay. snow was generally firm with a wet sticky layer on top. still significant snow depth at elevation. woods were generally open with some whippy young hardwoods up to the recognized highpoint. we followed our tracks back down to the road then walked the road south for a few minutes before heading up towards bull hill. we used an old skid roads much of the way then enjoyed nice open woods to the recognized highpoint. from the summit we headed back down towards the saddle with ne bull then contined north towards delectable mountain bypassing the highpoint of ne bull. some thin/bare spots on the steepish ascent to delectable recognized highpoint. leaving the summit we went east back to Chateauguay road finding mostly open hard woods all the way with generally good snow coverage. the snow was softening quite a bit with the warming temps. from there we followed the road back to the car.
