| Comments: |
Well marked trails except for just beyond Castle Rock Peak. When exiting the trees, going south to north, stay left along the ski trail and look for the long trail to enter the woods on the left. Mt Ellen summit (not marked) is in the trees so make sure you walk a little bit down to the ski trails for excellent views. Granite ledges on the south side of Abraham can get a little tricky. There was snow for most of the hike and about an inch on the ridge. My wife wore micro spikes for most of the hike. I did not. Round trip took about 7.5 hours. Looking forward to more snow. |
