Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Alex & crew had been on Sunset Ridge Tr. earlier this summer; many improvements noticeable. Thank you guys & gals! Mentioned the loose sign at junction of Frost Tr. and Maple Ridge to one of the GMC caretakers. Few boards nearing their ends between Forehead and Nose; sure GMC knows about them and on their list with priorities & $$$ being the factors when they will be replaced.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Surprised to only see a few. Couple of tough scrambles on Maple Ridge. One wide crevasse leap where you could go down and lift pooch across.
Bugs
Bugs: Don't recall any.

Comments
Comments: Amazing views today. My favorite way of hiking Mansfield as there is a lot of open hiking and you get the mile ridge walk on the LT (which I've called the best mile walk in Vermont many times). Ledges and rocks very clean and dry today which make this loop much more enjoyable. Going down Maple Ridge when wet can be tough as well as Sunset Ridge to a lesser degree of difficulty.
