Comments
Comments: Beautiful day for this long walk in the woods. Up Stratton Pond trail to Lye brook to Branch Pond up to the shelter/LT and back. Didn’t have the energy to continue down Lye brook trail to Manchester (another trip) as that out/back alone is 15 miles. Peaceful walking with very few people. Nice tent sites around Bourn Pond area. The section on Branch Pond heading back to Kelly stand road was a bit more uphill than I was expecting (or at least it felt it) but the road walk back to Stratton pond trailhead was mostly downhill!!
The 0.7 north shore trail is posted as closed (looks like beavers have taken over part of the trail)
