Comments
Comments: It was relatively easy to follow logging roads - including the "high road" - and herd paths to Mendon Peak. We lost the herd path almost immediately on the way down, bushwhacked back to the logging road instead. There was a decent patch of boot-sucking mud where the "high road" rejoins the "low road" between stream crossings #2 and #3, so we went "high" on the way back as well to avoid mud and the extra stream crossings on the "low road".

We ate lunch in our car after the hike to avoid the flies. Saw a ruby-throated hummingbird feeding on flowers by Bucklin trailhead!
