Lower section appears to get lots of local traffic. Trail was pretty rough from warm temps and hard freeze - opted to make our own trail off to the side with snowshoes for first mile or so. After that, the trail had seen at least 1-2 sets of snowshoes and we did what we could to smooth it out and pack it out more. Once we hit the ridge, we hit the snowmobile trail which had seen snowmobile traffic over both summits. Nice views from South Dorset and a new sign for “The Towerâ€. Could not get canister open. Nice morning hike. |
