Comments
Comments: Parked at Bucklin Tr parking lot, and followed the gated logging road, which was icy. Went past the red house. At an open clearing, kept following the road straight ahead. At a very small clearing, took the road on the right. Descended down to the river. Cairn still there. Crossed and followed skidder roads, always going up and eastsoutheast. Looks like a good stretch of the route is flagged. Upon reaching an area that had a lot of flags all over the place, broke away from the skidder road and bushwacked up. Reached more flags, and followed them to the ridge. Made my way to the Mendon summit canister.

Followed the ridge and hooked up to a skidder road heading east. Went the road started going north, following the contour of the drainage, I bushwacked east and hooked up with the Long Trail. Mostly breaking trail in ankle deep snow. Went up Killington Spur Tr, and my microspikes had trouble digging into the ice on the last .1 mile to the summit.

The Bucklin Tr was mostly ice from the shelter to the bridge crossing (2nd bridge if you're ascending), then dirt and mud to the trailhead.
