| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The original plan was to hike the LT from the pass, but after three attempts, I deemed my car could not get up the hill due to snowcovered roadway.
I went back to the resort, where I learned that uphill access if free. Just check in. |

Late start (10:30) up the ski trails. Jay peak has the uphill route well marked with blue arrows. Really, really windy and cold. The upper part of the mtn was closed due to wind. I decided to go to Big before summiting Jay so that I could get a break from the winds. The path to Big was fairly well packed and is even better now. Very easy due to skiers going that way. Getting on top of Jay was really tough due to winds pushing me around and wind chill. This hike was much faster than I expected 2.5 hrs round trip. |
