Bugs
Bugs: A few black flies and deer flies down low, a few black flies on the muckier part of the logging roads, but never an issue if we kept moving, and not an issue at the summits (though the wind probably kept them away).

Comments
Comments: No snow anywhere to be seen in the woods or hiking trails. Logging road up from Bucklin Trail trailhead was in decent shape with a few moderate muddy patches. Bushwhack over from third cairn wasn't too bad - some decent herd paths as you get closer to the true summit. Back on the logging road, we took a right at an upper junction were some rusty stuff was leaning on a tree and followed that road until it turned into a ski glade with an established footbed, leading to the AT. Trails in good shape from there up to Killington and then to AT-Sherburne split. Took the Sherburne Trail very briefly, before taking the access road/never opened ski trail to the Pico Spur to Pico, then down the ski trails to the Pico base.
