Comments
Comments: a great day to hike in the green mountains. went up the forest road by the bucklin trailhead. gate was open and road in use. go past a small cabin; valley narrows and road follows stream. no snow until after the last stream crossing; put on snowshoes there. followed obvious herdpath for the ascent. most of the way i left the path and wacked up to the summit. stayed low at first then cut straight up thru nice open woods; not at all sprucey. snowshoes were really great off the trail; kept me from postholing. couldn't get cannister to open! nice to meet new friends.
