| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at lot on Rt. 41 at the Undermountain Trailhead. About 3 other cars. Lot holds a dozen or more easily. Was a Monday so lightly used. Probably many more hikers on a sunny weekend, so parking must get tight. |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Minor rock hopping. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Very nice recent brushing on Mt. Frissell Trail near Mt. Washington Road. Only small issue was a fairly large blowdown of a formerly live tree branch on top of a dead blowdown on the Mt Frissell Trail near the side trail to the small pond. This has turned into a walkaround/stepover. This is on the MA part of the Mt. Frissell Trail about halfway between Round Mountain and Mt. Frissell. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |

| Bugs: |
There were occasional black flies, but they don't seem to be hungry yet, so not a problem. |

Bear Mountain, Round Mountain, Mt. Frissell, Mt Frissell (south slope, CT high point), CT-MA-NY tristate point
Nice hike to bag highest summit in CT, as well as the true CT highpoint and also the tristate marker. A pleasant hike with fine weather. Nice views to the Catskills. My thanks to Lone Wolf. |
