Winter Access Notes:Caribou Pond Road (Caribou Valley Road) is generally not plowed. Route 16 Appalachian Trail parking lot is often minimally plowed.
Road Access Notes:Caribou Pond Road (Caribou Valley Road) is rough in nature. Low clearance vehicles may be unable to drive the road. Many 4WD vehicles may be unable to reach the Appalachian Trail crossing (~4.5 miles). The road is generally not plowed for winter use.
