| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
only room for a handful of cars at Mt Langdon TH, but, tons of parking in the lots across the street on the Saco River!!!! |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
no issues - all crossings minor |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The stretch of Mt Parker Trail between Mt Parker and Davis Path is very brushy and has many blowdowns - an obstacle course in places and sometimes hard to follow. The spur to the outlook south just before Mt Resolution is not signed and looks to be unmaintained-- fortunately, once you get there, the outlook is completely OUTSTANDING!!!! |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
not much water at the upper elevations |
| Bugs: |
windy enough to keep most bugs away unless you're in the parking lots. At the Davis Path parking area, where I hid/locked my bike, the bugs ate me alive as I switched to biking shoes for the return ride. Never used DEET all day. |

GREAT day to get these trails. Cave Mtn and the other bumps and ledges along the ridge are awesome!!! Also, I left the trail to tag Resolution but not sure if I found the high point or not - oh well!!!!! Saw almost noone until down below Mt Crawford. Saw 1 female ranger near the old Resolution Shelter Site.
Turned out to be a good bike spot. Mostly downhill back to Bartlett. At the end of the day having a swimming spot in the Saco River right across from the parking area was AWESOME!!!! But it was a little cccccold!!!! |
