Both the main parking lot and the overflow were full by 7am. Had to park at The Basin parking area and walk the bike path back to the trailhead. |

Carried the flag up Mt. Lincoln. Couldn't have asked for a better day to hike Flags on the 48 - bright bluebird skies, a steady breeze, dry trail conditions! I want to thank all the other teams who did other peaks, it was an amazing success!
Trail conditions on Franconia Ridge are peak right now. There's really no issues to report other than the trailhead filling up quick. Careful descending Greenleaf trail on Lafayette. There was a rescue for a woman who broke her leg falling on the loose rock, always remember to take your time and don't rush. There is also a small scramble on Old Bridle Path that for some reason is super slippery despite being dry so use caution there, especially if descending. |
