Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Always three cheers for my friends the RMC trail maintainers. We cut out one tree that fell onto the path at the top of the gulch. Cook Path was a little brushy at the top but it is decent and the rest of the path was clear with some recent waterbar work. Thank you.

Comments
Comments: Happy to be invited by friends to join them Saturday morning for a hike to find Ice in August. I recommend pants or at least knickers to avoid getting your shins sawed by some of the cerrated rocks in Gulch. I wore pants but three in our group didn't and had a little blood to show for it! The Fall was worth the little loop, very pretty even in low water. Climbing out of the brook bed from the fall back up to the trail is steep and a good warm up for the Gulch. The Gulch did not disappoint, how all those giant mount adams type rocks landed here! Good practice for Mahoosuc Notch if you need it. Cook Path was in good condition, thank you trail maintainers. Also near the bottom of the Cook Path there is a re-route, not particularly well signed or blazed but it goes around the new house and get you back to the original trailhead on Randolph Hill Road. Take the path to the right of the Spring path and just follow it, way better than walking the road. Whole loop was about under 7 miles.
