| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked by the bridge on Quinntown Road, which splits the road-walking in half: about 15 minutes o each end. Plenary of room, and the roads are fine. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All the hop-a crosses were alarmingly easy... |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The usual springtime blowdowns, but nothing of consequence. Both trails are n remarkably good conditions, well cared for, and not over-used. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Our two Jack Russel Terrorists did fine, though it was a little colder ad iciest than they were expecting. |
|
| Bugs: |
Nope. |

| Comments: |
Didn't see a soul, and only one other set of (human) tracks near the summit. Lots of cool animal tracks. Other than the fact that it takes a little longer to get to the trailhead, this is my new favorite walk on Smart's. If you've shied away from this because of concerns about access, getting lost, or trail conditions, don't! |
