Comments
Comments: Spectacular day - one of the best of the winter with snowfall from Friday/Saturday tracked out. Brisk wind - valley is like a wind tunnel even at lower elevations. Along ridge some quite windy spots and consequently cold. Want to be able to cover face. Some kids had those little plastic sheet sleds - great way to slide down! I used full crampons, snowshoes on way up. Winter best time to see the magnificent cliffs of NE spur - along with the rest of this grand landscape.
