| Comments: |
We arrived at the parking lot to find a half-dozen cars already there. There were several groups (three groups of two, two solos, and a group of five) out on the trail breaking out the fresh snow. All but one of our group nine started out using snow shoes and that seemed to work out fine. Even though there were plenty of feet on the trail ahead of us the snow was still soft enough that the added traction of the snow shoes was appreciated. On the steeper sections approaching East Osceola a couple of people switched to light traction and that seemed to work for them - the rest of us stayed in our snow shoes.
We were able to easily navigate the Chimney between East Osceola and Osceola going in both directions. |
