| Comments: |
Tripoli road is groomed for skiing and easy walking. We wore light traction to the summer parking lot.
Switched to snowshoes and stayed in them until we got back to the parking lot. Snow is breakable crust at the bottom but was nice power up higher. Normally icy section along Breadtray Ridge is filled in with snow. The chimney by-pass was icy so we did the bypass-bypass in the woods. Lots of snow between the peaks and I was glad that we were wearing snowshoes. Trail is choppy from all of the traffic today in some places. Thanks to Larisa and Toby for another great hike. |
