Trails in good shape overall. A couple of blowdowns here and there, stepovers. |

Saw just one, a happy golden near Carter Notch Hut. Bring water, long stretches of dry trail up high. |

Amazingly, not annoying. A few flies as temps warmed Monday afternoon, but ok. |

Hiked in to Carter Notch Hut for an overnight Sunday (hut was barely half full, croo and food both great) then hiked the rest out today. Trails in good shape. Saw a couple nobo and sobo hikers, and some other day hikers out and about doing various loops over these summits. Trails in good shape, a couple mildly muddy spots, avoidable, a couple trees to crawl over, but otherwise smooth sailing. Crystal clear views of the presies most of the day. |
