Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blowdowns but none were an issue. One massive, impressive blowdown on the Davis Path has a worn herd path around it. Trails were in very good shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs: Annoying and relentless going up the Mt Langdon trail until about 2500’, then they seemed to just disappear. They reappeared on the descent on the Davis Path, again around 2500’. I used bug spray but that didn’t stop them.
Lost and Found

Comments: I went up to Cave Mtn about a month ago, so I didn’t bother with that side trail today. I’m not sure what it is, but the Mt Langdon trail wore me out between miles 1 and 2 both today and the last time that I was here. I walked right by the South knob spur off the Mt Parker trail and had to double back. The trail looked like a narrow water washout and it didn’t click until I was at least 0.1 mile past it. Views from the South knob were excellent. At the junction with the Davis Path, I took a right to grab the 0.3 mile connector to the Stairs Col trail, then back. Davis Path to the junction with the Mt Crawford trail was a joy. Narrow in places, but mostly soft pine needles and easy walking. The final descent on the Davis Path was steep, rocky, and not much fun.
