Comments
Comments: Temp at start was 37 and by the end 50+ with more sun as the day went on. We carried snowshoes, barebooted for the first and last couple of miles, and wore spikes in between. Every time we wondered if snowshoes would be appropriate, we came upon large sections of bare, wet rock. The snow was mushier on our descent and spikes seemed to be the choice of the day, especially for the steeps. All in all, for April, a good day on the trail.
