Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Found a shallower, but faster spot, on Franconia Brook, north of the confluence of Hellgate. I judged right that I could get halfway across before my feet got numb and I could rest. I was able to also rock hop Lincoln Brook on the way out (with little thought to self preservation)
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I lost count at 30 waterbars cleaned on Lincoln Brook. I was not planning on being on this trail today so I had no tools. I was in there with my hands!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of dogs out having fun

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost my wallet! Likely on Lincoln Woods at about Black Pond to about a mile up Franconia Brook. Let me know if you find it =/

Comments
Comments: A FINE day in Henry's Woods was had. LOST MY WALLET - if anyone finds it! I have no idea how it fell out. Oh well. Don't worry I don't have any money :P It's on Lincoln Woods or Franconia Brook Trail, about a mile up. Today was all about that railroad grade, that railroad grade, no skidder. Set a scintillating pace on Lincoln Woods to Franconia Brook Trail. Somehwere between Hellgate Brook and Camp 14 spur I took a bearing due West and found what I was looking for -- the old railroad line from Camp 10 to Camp 12. I had zero problem following this for the entire 2.5 mile length. Completely awe inspiring to ride this line from end to end. Long since abandoned but still so easy to follow. I picked it up at what would have been the end of a 265' trestle. I cannot believe there is nothing left but a horseshoe, a clay jug, and a shovel head on this line. Henry took EVERYTHING out! (or Parker and Young). I cannot believe there where trestles over some of the drainages, especially going over Lincoln Brook, it must have been an impressive bit of engineering to accomplish this, especially with a locomotive going over it. I stood there in awe of what would have been. Over sixteen miles before lunch - a good day!
