Parking/Access Road Notes: No problem finding spots at Edmands and Ammo early this morning. Noted that Jefferson Notch Road and Haystack Road are still closed.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Water Crossing Notes: All crossings are able to be rock-hopped with careful foot placement.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Multiple blowdowns on Edmands below the destroyed birch stand. They’ve been delimbed, but require some contortion to get under/over/around.

Dog-Related Notes: Saw lots of happy puppers today.

Comments: Amazing day in the Presis today!

Snow shows up on Ammo around 4200’ (right after the water crossing up high). Alternating monorail and fully supportive snow pack up to the Hut. Snow was soft enough to get some bite, so we kept spikes off. If you were descending Ammo, you’d probably want them on.

Completely bare and dry trail above treeline.

Patchy monorail on Edmands from 4400’ down to the corner where the waterfall (still frozen over) is. After that, smooth sailing down.
