Comments
Comments: Boot Spur Trail was mostly dry with the exception of a couple patches of snow. Easily avoidable. Davis Path to Crawford Path was dry up to the summit. On the way down I took the Alpine Garden Trail to Lions Head. Alpine Garden trail has a lot of running water. There is a lot of snow left on the East face of Mt Washington and in Tuckerman’s Ravine. If you are taking Lions Head trail to the summit beware of snowfields. Light traction may be needed. A few sections of Lions head trail had snow on the steep sections. No traction needed, just watch your footing. Tuckerman’s trail has some late compacted snow xfrom the trail junction on down for a mile. Great day in the whites, with lots of hikers and spring skiers.
