| Comments: |
Trails were in good shape, there was some ice on top of Horn in the form of broken icicles...must have formed from recent rains on the trees, and wind shattered it and it littered the trail, not melting up there. Trails were wet but not icy.
First bog bridge heading south on Kilkenny Ridge Trail from Unknown Pond needs to be longer, it was an island in a large puddle, hikers are going around off trail.
Lots of mushrooms, fall asters, blue beads, and some lingering hobblebush berries. Fall colors showing, but maybe at 25%, scattered parts of trees showing color but nothing brilliant yet.
Saw several groups of two out today. |
