Large brook crossing was rock hopable |

Good overall. Some trail signs are old and getting harder to read. Blazes could use refreshing. Trail will be harder to follow in places when the leaves fall. |

| Comments: |
Good day for a below treeline hike since it was very windy with colder than normal temps. Gusty winds only in the parking lot and in the summit area. No views at viewpoints due to clouds. Most of the trail was protected from the wind. Heading up the west branch to the summit was harder (boulder field to pick thru) than if I had chosen the east branch which I used for the descent. Running water in the trail just before the branches to the summit. Only saw two other people on the trail. |
