| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot full at 9:30am (about 7-8 car capacity), a couple cars along road. I grabbed a spot on the side of Hurricane Mtn Rd (probably last legal spot left). |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
A stepover or two along the way, low flow |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail in great shape, well blazed, signs of recent blowdown clearing, thank you. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great trail for dogs, bring water, pretty dry. |
|
| Bugs: |
A couple buzzing down low, not biting. Several large dragonflies zipping around on the summit, hopefully eating all the annoying bugs. |

| Comments: |
Several individuals and small groups steadily coming down as my friend and I headed up. Mass exodus ahead of forecasted showers, or impeccable timing on our part?! We had the fire tower and summit to ourselves, and we enjoyed it for a good 45 minutes before heading down. Got some rain showers as we headed down, but tree cover shielded most of it. One person on the way up as we left. Great 360 views from the fire tower. I can't believe I waited so long to hike this one. |
